Driving a positive and supportive work culture for all employees

At RingCentral, we are dedicated to building a positive and supportive work culture for all employees.  For many employees, bringing their complete self to work is not always easy. The ability to be yourself and thus do your best work is central to our company culture here at RingCentral, and our policy in support of diversity, including our LGBTQ employees, reflects this point.

Our corporate culture initiatives aim to ensure that all employees feel they belong in the RingCentral workplace and are treated with dignity and respect. The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI) presented an opportunity to benchmark our efforts against best practices. The CEI evaluates LGBTQ-related policies, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBTQ community.

The CEI ratings have three primary pillars:

  • Non-discrimination policies across business entities
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families
  • Support for an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility

We are proud to announce that RingCentral was awarded a 100% ranking and designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality for 2019. This is a fantastic achievement for RingCentral that demonstrates our continued commitment to diversity and inclusion.

This was RingCentral’s first year participating in the CEI survey.  I want to thank all our business units across the company, that continually support our core values, and contribute to this important initiative. We’re honored to be listed amongst other esteemed companies that  promote workplace equality.
