Keep presence status between RingCentral and Microsoft Team in sync
With the Presence Hub from aurenz, you keep the presence status between your RingCentral and Microsoft Teams in sync. Calls should only be routed to agents if they are available. If two communication platforms are used, the presence status must be synchronized between the systems. With the Presence Hub from aurenz, Microsoft Teams presence status can be synchronized with the presence status of your RingCentral.
How it works
The Presence Hub is a cloud service which receives presence information from MS Team-users, on the one hand and users in your RingCentral, on the other hand. If a presence status changes in one of the systems, this status change is transmitted from the Presence Hub to the other systems. However, through corresponding rules for status mapping between the systems, there is some logic to this subject, so that only status transitions, that makes sense will be taken into account. For example, it is desired to transmit a busy status if the user is on the phone in one of the systems. However, it would not make sense to transmit a logged off status, as the user may well be logged off in one system and logged on in the other.
