Sr. Web Engineer

Job Description:

• Design and implement feature rich and high performance web applications running on browser and mobile devices, e.g. iPhone, iPad.
• Coach the less experienced engineers
• Innovate or improve the technology and methodology to make the product better

Requirements and technical skills:

• 3+ years of experiences in developing web application using Java
• Good at writing design spec and other documents in English.
• Skillful with web application scripts such as Java Script, J2EE, AJAX, HTML, CSS, XML
• Knowledge of Java web application technology and frameworks such as JSP, JSON, Web service, SOAP, JDBC, Tomcat, JBOSS, Spring, Seam, JSF
• Knowledge of relational DBMS and SQL
• Deep understanding of Web protocols, formats, Web architectures

Soft skills:

• Great passion on the software development
• Ownership and accountability
• Very good team work spirit
• Customer and quality oriented mindset
• Innovative
• Excellent English communication skills. Good spoken English preferred.

The following skills and experiences will be big plus:

• UML modeling
• Agile development process
• Open source projects

Education:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree, MS/PhD a plus
