Responsibilities:
The VP Marketing will report directly to the CEO and be fully responsible for driving RingCentral’s marketing efforts, with an emphasis on increasing customer acquisition, decreasing customer acquisition costs and increasing revenue per customer. The VPM will also lead branding and advertising with the goal of increasing awareness, product trial and conversion to paying subscription. Additionally, the VPM will also manage the company website, partner marketing, affiliate marketing and customer retention programs. The VPM will also help drive overall Company strategy as a core member of the Executive Team.
Requirements:
This position requires an expert knowledge of direct marketing to small businesses and/or consumers. The ideal candidate is aggressive and focused on revenue goals and managing to the bottom line (i.e. thinks like a GM), with a world-class intellect and an analytical approach that is balanced with pragmatism and a disposition for action. The candidate will have demonstrated success in a leading blue chip customer-driven marketing organization as well as having implemented and expanded upon that training in a rapidly growing entrepreneurial company; strong preference for Internet-related industry experience (at minimum, significant Web-savvy).
The right candidate will have a track record of having dramatically succeeded in prior positions, and will be seeking an even greater degree of achievement in a career move. They will possess a passion for their work, and have an exceptionally high level of energy and capacity for hard work. The Company seeks an aggressive direct marketer, with proven ability to beat the competition in existing markets, as well as an ability to think creatively about new markets and new strategies in which to compete and win. Must be an outstanding team builder, mentor and leader of others.
Key functional experience required: high volume customer acquisition (in Consumer or SMB markets) through direct marketing, primarily online. Experience in offline direct marketing, marketing communications, product marketing and partner marketing.
