Manager: Sr. Director of Operations
This is a great opportunity to work at a rapidly growing company, which provides Voice-over-IP (VoIP), hosted PBX, voicemail and fax solutions.
This position will be instrumental in assisting the company to deliver high levels of service availability.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, test and administer production Network and Telephony environments
- Develop processes and tools to proactively monitor all IP Telephony and Network infrastructure to ensure performance and high availability
- Assess utilization trends and make appropriate design and implementation recommendations to scale the architecture
- Plan and manage all aspects of Network and Telephony related projects
- Scale and deploy redundant collocation facilities
- Provide 24x7 on-call support and escalation to Network and Telephony carriers
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as a Sr. Network Engineer
- Deep understanding of network and voice protocols
- Understanding of data center power, cooling and cabling infrastructure
- Experience in supporting mission-critical 24x7 telco service
- Self-starter with excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to prioritize tasks and organize workflow accordingly
- Ability to grasp new concepts quickly
- Ability to understand the problem and communicate it for others
- BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with voice protocols is a big plus

- NETWORK HARDWARE: Cisco, F5, Netscreen, Juniper, Sonicwall, Watchguard
- PROTOCOLS –IP/VOIP: TCP/IP protocols suite, 3GPP/3GPP2, IMS/NGN, SIP/SDP, STUN, H323, MGCP, BGP, HSRP, OSPF, DNS
- SECURITY: IPSec, VPN, L2TP, PPTP, TLS/SSL, Digital Certificates, IPS/IDS, SSH, RADIUS, TACACS+
- LAN, AND WAN: Ethernet/VLAN/ Spanning tree, Frame Relay/ISDN/Tx/OCx, Routing protocols
- NETWORK ANALYSIS AND EMS: Wireshark/EtheReal, ClearSight, Kismet, CiscoWorks, OpenView
- SOFTSWITCHES/GATEWAYS: Session Controllers/Proxies and Media Gateways – SER/OpenSER, Asterisk, Broadsoft, Cisco CallManager/Unity, Metaswitch, Sonus, Sylantro, Coppercom, Nortel C2K, BEA Weblogic
- VIRTUALIZATION AND STORAGE: Vmware ESX/Server/Workstation, MS VPS, XEN Server, iSCSI, FC
