Responsibilities:
- Manage configuration, implementation, and maintenance of various technologies in RingCentral’s HQ office including desktop PCs, Macintoshes, laptops, printers, servers, network equipment and software applications
- Perform on-site helpdesk support
- Create and maintain good technical documentation
- Make recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase, work with various vendors for procurement and aggressively negotiate prices
- Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources
- Maintain excellent communication on all tasks and projects
- Monitor, plan, and coordinate the distribution of client/server software and service packs
Required Qualifications:
- BS in computer science or related field, or relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, Windows XP/Vista/7 and Microsoft Server 2000/2003, Exchange 2000/2003
- Experience with UNIX (Linux, Solaris)
- Experience configuring Cisco routers, firewalls or other comparable network devices in highly available environment
- Strong knowledge of:
- DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, group policy, and server installation, configuration and operation
- Upgrades, rollouts, and re-imaging workstations
- Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting password
- Veritas Backup Exec and disaster recovery
- Solid understanding of IT security practices
- Understanding of SIP, HTTP, TCP, UDP protocols; XML/XSLT
- Scripting skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as oral and written skills
- Outstanding troubleshooting ability
- Ability to grasp new concepts fairly quickly
- Team player
- Knowledge of Russian language is a plus
