Strategic Accounts Manager – Distributed Retail, Franchises, and Associations

Location: San Mateo, CA or Denver, CO preferred

The Strategic Accounts Manager - Distributed Retail, Franchises, and Associations role will be responsible for developing, overseeing, and executing a national strategy for RingCentral to sell to and through these prospects. This individual must have a proven history of penetrating corporate franchises and associations as well as working with and closing deals with the small and medium businesses within the corporate entity. This includes experience in contracts, marketing, compensation models and incentive programs associated with successful delivery of sales to and though large national brands.

You will be expected to leverage industry knowledge and contacts to create an immediate impact in what the company believes will be a fully incremental segment. You will work closely with the executive team and in full partnership with the existing sales and marketing personal to consistently meet and exceed the goals of this rapidly growing cloud business phone services provider. Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop, oversee, and execute a National program for driving RingCentral services through Distributed Retail, Franchises, and Associations
  • Identify top targets and put strategies in place to win them as clients
  • Sign national brands and own executive relationships with the partners
  • Understand partner’s business and how RingCentral services can enhance their value proposition
  • Manage ongoing national brand training, marketing, and overall enablement programs
  • Work cross functionally with other team members to deliver on company goals
  • Drive requirements and help develop sales tools and materials for the Channe
  • Negotiate and close new national agreements
  • Act as internal advocate to ensure partner and customer satisfaction
  • Participation in industry events such as trade shows, speaking engagements, seminars
  • Exceed revenue objectives

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • 10+ years of strategic sales/channel/BD experience
  • 5+ years experience working with National Brands and/or Franchises
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding quota
  • Strong business acumen is a must, experience in sell-thru to SB end customers is a plus
  • Self Starter with a history of great decision making, planning, and execution to results
  • History of great decision making, planning, and execution to results
  • Established Distributed Retail, Franchise, and Association contacts
  • BS or BA from an accredited university; an MBA is highly desired
  • Ability to excel in a team-oriented, collaborative, and fast-paced environment
  • Negotiated and closed agreements with CXO level executives
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including listening and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Vibrant and energetic attitude, willingness to perform and get things done while having fun
