Responsibilities:
- Managing and growing global software engineering teams to deliver quality releases on-time
- Leading the planning and scheduling activities for all product development and release cycles
- Providing technical direction to the engineering staff under the guidance of the CTO
- Leveraging new technologies to deliver new capabilities and optimize the productivity of development
- Working with product management to ensure a product road map that is achievable and create a development plan for product releases to support it
- Coordinating the activities of the various engineering functions with QA & Operations
- Clearly communicating project status to teams in and outside of Engineering
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of real-time C++ software development experience
- 5+ years of leading high-performance software development teams at senior management level, preferably in the VoIP service space
- In-depth understanding of software development life cycle, software design methodologies and tools including object-oriented architecture (OOA) and design (OOD)
- Strong technical background with software development experience including C++, Java, SIP, RTP, databases, multi-tiered architectures, web-based technologies and SOA
- Knowledge of enterprise scale applications running in critical environments requiring unparalleled performance and stability
- Experience delivering process improvement in an organization
- Demonstrated experience working with offshore operations
- Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire others to achieve success
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and time management skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, Advanced Degree preferred
Desired Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Russian language is a plus
