RingCentral named 2005 PRODUCT OF THE YEAR

 

SAN MATEO, Calif., January 3, 2006 – Internet Telephony magazine announced RingCentral’s enhanced online telephone service as a recipient of its 2005 Product of the Year Award, given to companies for demonstrating excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. RingCentral is a leader in providing online telecommunications solutions to thousands of small businesses, home-based businesses and mobile professionals.

RingCentral service plans, starting at $9.99 a month, include a virtual office solution with toll-free or local numbers, click-to-call technology, Microsoft® Office integration, an auto-attendant with multiple extensions, multi-number call forwarding and screening, voicemail, online faxing, and a real-time call management tool—the Softphone desktop pop-up.

In 2005, RingCentral announced a new feature, which will be released on January 15, 2006, called Answering Rules. Answering Rules provides customers with instant online access to a scheduling screen that lets them automatically filter and forward incoming callers according to the day of the week, time of the day, their caller ID, and a phone number dialed. 

Other enhancements in 2005 included RingOut click-to-call dialing, Microsoft® Office integration, and text-to-speech technology that allows customers to type a reply to callers on-hold and have that message translated to speech and broadcast to the caller in real-time. Further, audio technology was installed that records and broadcasts callers’ names to RingCentral customers through their phone and computer speakers, providing them with an advanced screening capability. 

The Product of the Year Award winners for 2005 will be highlighted in the January and February 2006 issues of INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine.
