RingCentral Introduces New Features to Improve Sales and Ease of Use for Ringcentral’s Customer Base, While Continuing to Promote Large Enterprise Image

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 12, 2006 – RingCentral, Inc. today released new features and enhanced functionality to its popular RingCentral Online telecommunications service for small businesses and mobile professionals. The introduction of RingMe, a click-to-call service, is designed to help RingCentral customers boost sales, fundraising efforts and improve customer service. Additionally, RingCentral has improved its widely used fax features to provide customers with enhanced capabilities and improved ease of use.

Expanding on the current and already comprehensive telephony solution for small businesses, RingCentral has incorporated RingMe, an embedded button that customers can put on their Web site or in an email signature. With RingMe, online visitors from across the globe can initiate a toll-free call to a live customer service representative with a click of the button.

Lily Gao, CEO and founder of ChinaDirectStore.com - a direct importer of goods from China, is preparing her business for a rapid surge in sales inquiries and stated, “As a small business owner, I pride myself on my company’s customer service. The addition of this small click-to-call button on the site has already helped to dramatically improve customer service. Combining RingMe with RingCentral Online’s existing features, helps online shoppers reach a live sales or customer support individual and have their needs and questions addressed in a quick and efficient manner. RingCentral continues to provide an edge for small businesses that are forced to compete with larger competitors.”

Although a large number of sales for many small businesses originate on the Web, many are still concluded with a phone call. RingMe provides an inexpensive, easy-to-implement system to tie online sales methods with direct access to live company representatives, leading to increased sales.

“Providing a direct route for potential customers to contact sales departments is a great way for small businesses to retain customer interest and attract new clients,” said Irwin Lazar, senior analyst for Burton Group. “Incorporating such a service into a business Web site makes it much easier for interested customers to reach someone who can assist them.”

Additional new and enhanced features include:

  • FaxOut: Users can send urgent faxes from any computer, even if their RingCentral tools are not installed. By logging into RingCentral’s easy to use Web-based interface and adding recipients from their personal contact list, customers can simply attach the document and cover page and send the fax from any Web-enabled computer.
  • Fax from Email: An alternative to FaxOut, this service enables RingCentral customers to send a fax from any email account or accessible device, from any location. By entering the cover page into the subject line, attaching the documents and emailing the package to RingCentral, the team will send the fax from the user’s account directly.
  • Local Number Selection: Users can now select from a choice of 10 local numbers and determine the number that best suits their needs.

Vlad Shmunis, CEO of RingCentral, commented that, “In a continued effort to work closely with our rapidly growing customer base, we have quickly responded to their needs by providing additional sales tools and services. We are committed to helping small business owners remain competitive by leveraging new technology, without subscribing to multiple services or paying too much.”

RingOut Caller ID, FaxOut and Fax from Email are available to all RingCentral Professional users. RingMe is immediately available to all RingCentral Online Plus and upper tier plan subscribers at no additional cost. RingCentral Online PRO subscribers can purchase RingMe for $4.99/month.
