RingCentral brings operation out of the dark ages
Entrepreneur Kim Oberlin gets the best deal. Period.
Entrepreneur Kim Oberlin has led the development of 40 North American franchise operations in over 20 industries. An accomplished marketer and an award-winning writer, he has served on the board of directors of several corporations and not-for-profit organizations.
Kim’s latest venture, Fusion Brands Corp., develops fusion food products and restaurant concepts, including MexiChin Blendz seasonings, a combination of Latin and Asian cuisines. “Our concepts,” he says, “are at the forefront of the soaring popularity of Latin and Asian flavors, and we have plans for other exciting fusions that embrace the expanding interest in international cuisines.”
“When I launched the company, RingCentral was my first move,” Kim says. “Our team is spread out from coast to coast, so I needed to create a virtual office and make it extremely efficient. The challenge for us, as it is for many virtual-office companies, is efficiency: Making a small, decentralized team as efficient as a large company, without comparable internal capabilities and staffing. A full-featured phone system is a vital solution”
Kim did some “serious research” and found that ”nobody touches RingCentral in terms of its professional design, ease of administration and efficiency,” he says. “It is highly flexible and very reasonably priced.”
Fusion Brands Corp. now has two incoming toll-free numbers and 20 extensions. Kim couldn’t be more pleased with what RingCentral provides. “We don’t have any dropped calls, our users love it and RingCentral is extremely easy to manage. It has definitely met our objectives.”
Kim’s team makes full use of RingCentral’s internet fax features. “We’ve got a couple of suppliers that are still somewhat in the dark ages and only use fax,” he explains. “They don’t use email, but with RingCentral and a wireless-equipped laptop, we can easily send and receive documents while in the field. That not only saves time, it makes us money.”
“For a small company like ours, RingCentral enables the same professional and stable image enjoyed by much larger and more established firms. It empowers us to compete with the responsiveness and operational depth of our largest competitors, at a fraction of the cost.”
“There is no good reason to spend $15,000 to $20,000-plus for a complicated system when you can get all the features you need from RingCentral for a few dollars a month," Kim concludes. "You simply can’t find a better deal than RingCentral. Period."
