FindMe Grouping — Optimize Your Call Forwarding

FindMe Grouping

We thought to ourselves, "How could the new RingCentral 3.1 Advanced Call Forwarding control be improved?" Our answer: More control!

Now, you can group your FindMe numbers so that the numbers within that specific group all ring simultaneously. If you don't answer, we'll try the next number - or group of numbers - in your list!

Phone number grouping is available in the Sequentially in Fixed Order FindMe mode. Simply click the Group button to add the number below it to the group (the button will always add the number or group or numbers below it).

Caller ID Setup — Send The Right Number

Want to send faxes from your fax number, and RingOut from your Main number?

Using Caller ID Setup, you can select the specific caller ID you want to use per feature: RingOut from your online account, Virtual Calling Card/Callback & Live Transfer, and Fax Sending.

You can select to use any numbers from your account, including your Main, Additional or Forwarded phone numbers.

Not to be out done, we're giving your answering machine a run for its money!

Now, after sending your callers to voicemail, listen live as they leave a message. Want to talk to them? Just push 1 on your key pad and you're connected!

This option is currently available if you send your callers to voicemail over the phone (i.e., "...to send the caller to voicemail, push two.. "). We will add this option to the Call Controller very soon!

When customers dial your RingCentral number, do you want to route them directly to your Company Directory?

You asked for it and we delivered!. If you're using multiple extensions, you can now map any of your RingCentral or Forwarded numbers to your Company Directory.

If your callers cannot find any extensions to which they wish to connect, they can easily jump to the Company Greeting for more options.

FREE Inbound Voice Calls to Local Numbers

Incoming voice calls to RingCentral local numbers are now free!

Now, we’re no longer charging for inbound voice calls to your local number that aren’t forwarded—as of this release, they’re FREE.

What this means is that callers can listen to announcements and leave voicemail, and you can call in to listen to your voicemail without being charged any minutes.

Don’t have a local number? You can get one now and start saving—callers will have another way to reach you, and you’ll pay less for incoming calls overall.

You can get a local number instantly for most cities in the continental US, and you’re not limited by the geographic location of your business. In other words, you can get a number for LA and NYC—even if your business is in Columbia, Missouri.

Display Changes in your Account Billing

Included Calling Credit and Purchased Calling Credit

Please be aware that you may notice a change in the way your service metering is presented.

RingCentral meters service usage in dollars and cents but thus far we’ve been converting dollars and cents to available minutes for you. For administrative purposes, we’ve changed our algorithms so that we’re no longer making that conversion in our billing system.

What that means to you is not much, except that you should know that while your Account Status may look different, everything remains the same. You can still see your available minutes in addition to the money remaining in your account.

Email your Call Log – New Email Scheduling Feature

Schedule your Call Logs to be sent via email!

Now, you can more easily email a Call Log to yourself or someone else—such as an employee or your accountant.

Schedule call logs to be sent automatically on a regular basis by clicking Preferences>Call Log Settings or simply click Email Log from the Call Log screen. The Call Log will automatically convert to an Excel spreadsheet before it’s sent—then you can purge the record from your account.

With Call Logs, you can monitor company expenses, employee activities and, in general, keep records of all of your calls.

Here’s a convenient way to quickly give prospects or customers a printed copy of documents such as listings or forms. Using Fax on Demand, callers can dial an extension, enter their phone number, and have the document faxed directly to their fax machine.

You can also use this service to quickly fax your saved document to someone via your telephone! Simply call in, select one of your Fax on Demand extensions and enter their phone number!

Fax on Demand is only $4.99/mo for all service levels. To get started, create a new Answering Rule and select Fax On Demand as the answering mode.
