The Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans (CCANO) was able to take advantage of the virtual nature of their RingCentral plan after Hurricane Katrina devastated the organization's offices.
Shortly before the storm, CCANO had turned to RingCentral for a toll free number. The service is hosted virtually in the RingCentral offices in California, so when the storm hit, the line remained unharmed.
After the storm, CCANO relied on the toll free number to keep its one thousand employees, which were scattered throughout the city, informed of the organization's condition.
Leaders were able to easily customize voicemail messages, to which employees listened to remain up to date on CCANO conditions. Just a year after the storm, CCANO remains in business with 900 of its original employees!
