VoIP
Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology has been around for several years, proving to be a reliable option for connecting businesses. VoIP service allows you to place calls over your high-speed Internet connection, leaving your phone lines free for other calls and faxes to come through.
As you might expect, placing calls over the Internet also reduces long distance costs. With VoIP, calls within the U.S. and Canada are charged the same low rate.
RingCentral has a VoIP offering called DigitalLine, which can be completely integrated into your phone system. This integration is essential for keeping your business interactions, including voice mail messages and call logs, organized.
When you subscribe to the DigitalLine, you have the option to either purchase an analog telephone adaptor (ATA), which turns your standard phone into a VoIP phone, or to use your PC to answer calls. RingCentral comes equipped with a SoftPhone, or software that acts like a phone, and a headset, allowing you the convenience of using your computer as a fully functional phone.
If you are ahead of the curve and already have a VoIP number, RingCentral can also switch this existing line over to our services as a DigitalLine. Any unlocked SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) device is easily integrated into our system.
