Sales people aren't the only ones making cold calls. Marketing and fundraising, along with many other professions, involve lists of people that need to be called. A new technology called Click to Call makes this task less of a hassle.
Click to Call allows you to place a call by a simple click of the mouse or keyboard, making it an ideal feature for cold calling, which is often done from Outlook, an Excel spreadsheet or Word document. Once you click, you get called to your number and then the call is made for you.
Having a virtual phone system lets you take this capability further, because your phone and computer are linked. Having access to your RingCentral account online, for example, allows you to place calls directly to the contacts you have stored in your account.
Another unique attribute to this feature is that it allows you to save costs while traveling.
Let's say you need to make a slew of calls from your hotel room. You can avoid the hotel's long distance and international calling rates by using Click to Call. Simply indicate your location (hotel phone number) on your RingCentral Call Controller and RingCentral will call you and then place the call for you. In this way, the hotel is just charging you for an incoming call!
