IP Phone Hardware
Definition: An IP phone, or Internet Protocol phone, is a special telephone unit which uses the Internet to permit voice communications across different locations. It works by converting voice into IP packets before transmitting them through a communications system.

- More affordable than the traditional telephone line. Calls made through IP phones cost less than those made through traditional phone lines. For instance, long distance calls and taxes are considerably lower with an IP phone service. Also, some IP phone service providers offer discounts.
